Metal equipment shelters & storage buildings / Sacramento, Placer & El Dorado

Metal equipment storage.
Keep the useful things ready.

The tractor, the attachments, the machine you use every week. Plan a metal equipment shelter or enclosed building around what needs protection—and how you need to get to it.

Independent project inquiries · Permission before an introduction

Tractor and compact equipment in a galvanized-steel shelter.
Configuration, foundation, dimensions and site suitability require review.

Choose how you use it

A parking space.
A working plan.

Storage works best when the next machine can come out without moving everything else first.

01 / Easy access

Open equipment shelter

A roof with open access can suit frequently used equipment. Consider the direction of rain, exposure and how much of each machine needs to be covered.

02 / More enclosure

Enclosed equipment building

Separate a weather-enclosed storage area from the open yard. Identify door clearances, ventilation and any security requirements for provider review.

03 / Mixed needs

Storage plus covered bays

An enclosed section with a lean-to can separate tools or supplies from larger machines. Attachment, spans and drainage need a specific design.

Start with the machine, not a guessed building size.

A description of your largest item and the way you use it is enough for a first request.

Start my project request

Before choosing dimensions

Measure the job
the building has to do.

Overall equipment dimensions are only the starting point. Attachments, the approach and day-to-day movement can change what a useful layout looks like.

  • Height: include the cab, rollover protection and equipment in its normal parked position.
  • Width: account for mirrors, implements and clearance beside each machine.
  • Length: include attached tools, trailers and space to walk around them.
  • Access: describe gates, slope, turning space and the route from the road.

Tell us the real use

Storage, maintenance
or an operating shop?

These activities can have different building and site requirements. Tell us whether equipment will simply be parked, maintained, repaired or used in a business.

Describe my equipment

Equipment description is optional in the request form. A designer or provider must confirm clearances and suitability.

A useful next step

Get a clearer brief.
Then compare the scope.

Building supply, delivery, installation, foundation and site preparation are separate questions. Bring them together in the written proposal before committing.

Can I start without exact dimensions?

Yes. Describe the equipment and any known clearances. Unknown size and timing are accepted in the request.

Do you offer equipment-storage rentals?

No. These inquiries concern a proposed building or shelter on your project site, not a rented storage unit or warehouse space.

Can I request a wide open interior?

Yes. Describe the clear space you need. Suitable tubular-steel configurations require project-specific review; heavy red-iron construction and third-party-kit erection are not established offerings here.

Local Building and Permit Resources

Start with the department that reviews your property. These county resources are a starting point for unincorporated areas. Inside an incorporated city, check that city’s building department.

Intended use, elevation, access and site conditions require review. A mailing city or ZIP alone does not establish jurisdiction or requirements. This inquiry does not provide engineering or permit approval.
